Danilo Stankovic is a composer, arranger, and orchestrator based in Vienna, Austria, and working internationally. His compositions can be heard in short films, advertisements for radio and television, internet promotions and arrangements for vocal artists. Major brands such as Microsoft, Toyota, MasterCard, Dove, Speedo and P&G amongst others, have already featured his musical creations. He draws his passion and drive from his curiosity and love for music in all its eclectic forms.

When Danilo was five years old, he taught himself how to play the piano, and he has now been playing for more than 25 years. His early interest in music grew as he formally started studying piano and music theory with age of 6 in his native Serbia. Later on attending a Music and Performing Arts High School with Prof. Aleksey Molchanov and envisaged becoming a concert pianist before moving to Vienna to continue his education. He studied composition with Prof. Axel Seidelmann at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, and at the Prayner Conservatory with Prof. Ulf-Dieter Soyka (himself a former student of Friedrich Cerha).

In 2010, he participated in the “Hollywood Music” workshop led by Emmy award winning and Oscar nominated composer Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Bambi). Moreover in 2016,  Danilo attended the master class with the Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe winning composer Alexandre Desplat (The Budapest Hotel, Harry Potter, Twilight, Godzilla, Imitation Game, Ghostwriter, The Kings Speech and many more). This cemented his decision to pursue a film scoring career and offered him new perspectives. Danilo’s compositions are recognized for their innovative hybrid orchestrations and atonal textures. He focuses on creating a picture through varied orchestral colors and haunting melodies.

He also has stage experience, both as a pianist and keyboardist in several bands. In 2008, he played with Vincent Bueno, the winner of Austria’s national television show “Musical! Die Show”, and with the Jazz cover band “Die Nachtkapelle”.
